The more I read about “Elementary”, this “new interpretation” of Sherlock Holmes - the more this picture seems ooh so appropriate.

Just watching an old episode of Spooks when suddenly… House & Sherlock Holmes within two episodes of each other… Fancy that.

Sherlock Series 2 / Series 3 Spoiler!

I got last years cliffhanger prediction half-right [something complicated & / or camp]. This years cliffhanger? How Sherlock managed to survive that fall?

One word:

Dear Internet.

I shall now avoid all contact with you, until having seen tonights’ Sherlock.

That is all.

Brief[!]¹ Thoughts on “The Hound of the Baskervilles” episode of Sherlock..

Waaaay too much Sherlock.

It was still interesting, but I’d have loved to see an episode that focused more on Watson.

¹See, I can to short and to the point when needed.

Having re-watched this in Proper HD [i.e 1080p¹]… No, it’s not the Tardis.
Well, that and of course, this tweet.
Looks cool though - especially if you’re one of them people who like me, thinks the BBC should “cross over” both series next year, for the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Who.
¹Tumblr will shrink the image down, once it’s uploaded. The original version is 1919x1079 once cropped.

Note to self:

Next time you moan about the Daily Mail, check Twitter first.

Here’s what Steven Moffat had to say:

To all concerned about the reported nudity in Sherlock’s opening episode - rest assured it’s still available on iPlayer. DVD from the 23rd.

And here’s a comment from The Guardian

I do love it when the Daily Mail “go all moral”. This is the same newspaper, that despite reporting obsessively about “society” is becoming more and more amoral, and obsessed with celebrity, reports on shows such as The Only Way is Essex [Or ToWIE, as it’s apparantly hyphenated to, in order to be more easy to remember to the vapid masses who watch said programme]
And who seem to post pics, not only of every z-list celeb who get their arses out in a bikini, but who also sees it fit to post pics of celebs and their kids, when they’re out minding their own business.
Go back to whipping up a frenzy about the puffs¹ and the immigrants would you? Because this “cause” is a wee-bit stupid for a number of reasons:
You don’t actually see anything.
Who lets their 10 year old watch Sherlock.
Unless you live in some kind of poshty mcposh village, kids have probably seen / heard waaay more than that.
The BBC is not a parent. Decide for yourself if a child should watch it, and don’t blame others if it’s not to your particular morals²
Bunch of idiots.
¹BTW, this new Sherlock is a wee-bit homoerotic aint it? Wonder when there’ll be an article about that… Implied wolly woofter-ness before 9PM? It’s a fucking scandal - bring back hanging and section 28! Stop all benefits, bread and water for prisoners etc, etc…
²”But it was before the watershed!!!!!!”. And? It’s a 90 minute TV programme. That started at 8:10pm. That means it’ll be finishing at 9:40pm. i.e. AFTER the “Watershed”. That’s 50 mins of the programme that occur before this “mythical” division of time and space, and 40 that take place after. One could, therefore infer, that it’ll be of a somewhat “adult” nature.
It’s not like it’s only on once, never to be shown again! Watch it, and if it’s deemed appropriate for little Timmy, download it from iPlayer / the catch-up service on your bajillion channel TV box, and watch it again.

All I’ll say about Sherlock S2E1…

Other than it being beyond fab…

Christ they’ve upped the budget. All them locations! Made me almost consider putting aside my absolute loathing for the bunch of [redacted] who go by the name TV Licencing, and go buy a TV licence.

Still.. I’ve got S2 pre-ordered on blu-ray, so it’s not like theyr’e not getting my money… [January 23rd, for anyone wondering]
