The German Market returns to Birmingham city centre; signalling the start of another busy Christmas period.
And this year there are two additional attractions - one old, and one decidedly new, to tempt the estimated 2.8 million shoppers and sightseers who’ll visit the unofficial second capital, whilst the market is open.
The old? The returning Big Wheel of Birmingham, last seen being shipped off to Australia in 2006, The Big Wheel returns to mark ten years since the original was first put up.
The new? Birmingham’s flagship library - The Library of Birmingham. Built at a cost of £189m / over $300m, and spanning ten separate floors, the Library of Birmingham is the largest public library in the country, and the largest reference library in Europe.
The German market runs from November 14th through December 23rd.
