Speaking of Spooks…

Hugh Laurie really is on jolly good form old chum, as an MI6 “operative”. He appears towards the end of Series 1 - and if memory serves [bearing in mind, it’s been nigh on ten years since Spooks started] I think he pops up around half way through Series 2 as well.

That Laurie is in the series was no surprise. I had no idea Benedict Cumberbatch appeared in the show, however.

As well as writing a large chunk of the early episodes of Spooks, the show creator, David Wolstencroft also wrote two stand alone novels - Good News, Bad News and Contact Zero. I think both will be due a re-read, as I progress further with re-watching Spooks.
