Behold: Watchin’ Downton.

This was me the past 3 days.

I think this officially makes me the last person on the planet who hasn’t watched Downton bleedin’ Abby. I just can’t get my head round ITV having made something of merit - it’s just not possible!¹

¹To the Yanks: I know y’all have been watching this via BBC America. But it’s not a BBC production. It was shown on a channel called ITV1 in the motherland. ITV1 is the home of shite like The X-Factor, Coronation Street, and a show called The Only Way is Essex, whose “cast” make the people on Jersey Shore look like quantum physicists!

It’s honestly no exaggeration, ITV haven’t produced anything of merit for a decade. And then Downton… comes along, and suddenly they’ve got something [so I’m led to believe] utterly fantastic.

It’s all very strange [to us Brits].
