Sherlock Series 2 / Series 3 Spoiler!

I got last years cliffhanger prediction half-right [something complicated & / or camp]. This years cliffhanger? How Sherlock managed to survive that fall?

One word:

Molly.

How / why? It wasn’t Sherlock who jumped.

You see Holmes on the roof, clearly, from Johns’ perspective. Then the shot cuts, and wee see “Sherlock” from the back¹.

Watson, on the way to go help him, gets conveniently knocked over by a cyclist, imparing his vision.

The only time you actually see Sherlocks’ face, is what we assume to be from Johns POV. Assuming Johns already scrambled state of mind, prior to the “final meeting”, coupled with the fact he “sees” Holmes jump, and the convenient knock on the head? People see what they want to see.

Then there’s the fact that the body is taken away quickly, via what looks like the side entrance to St. Barts’ rather than the front one.

Conclusion: Sherlock asks Molly to get him a Cadaver. Which is what actually falls. “We” the audience just don’t see it, as we see the incident from Johns’ perspective.

Or… It’ll involve the sodding Bee-Gees.

¹The one problem with this theory, is that it’s clearly Cumberbatch during the fall. However, this could work, if you assume it’s also shown from Johns’ perspective.
