Exactly! I might be remembering it incorrectly, but I could have sworn they mentioned a more “Watson centric” episode at the end of the last series. Which is why I was excited when The Hound of the Baskervilles was named as one of the stories being adapted [to balance out the scepticism I’ve got around “The Final Problem”] It’s not that it was terrible - though I do think out of the five so far, it wasn’t close to being the best - it’s more that it would have been fun to Watson “working on his own” before introducing Sherlock at the end, and detailing how he was secretly involved after all.
